With the chatter concerning Jennifer Lopez's go back to The American Idol Show (finally confirmed now), it's not hard to disregard the other show principal who might be thinking of getting the doorway: Ryan Seacrest.our editor recommendsEmmys 2011: 10 Explanations Why 'American Idol' Should Win'The Voice's' Adam Levine Jams 'American Idol' because of its Management of Gay PerformersThe Business Behind Kim Kardashian's TV WeddingRelated Subjects•Emmys You heard right, the 36-year-old Georgia native who logs in additional broadcast hrs than any performer working today (between TV, radio and web, as well as Twitter and the 4.9 million fans) is on all of the his five-year contract using the Fox rankings juggernaut, that has gained the media mogul some $45 million. What's going to his next move be? By Seacrest's own admission, it may be too soon to inform, but there's plenty you may anticipate within the present, like his approaching Emmy nomination for Outstanding Host for any Reality Competition (introduced September 10 in the Creative Arts Emmys), this weekend's Kardashian wedding special on E!, created by their own Ryan Seacrest Productions, and season 11 of yankee Idol, which started tape its audition episodes with knowing panel fully in tact on Wednesday. The show can also be up for Outstanding Reality Competition for that ninth year running. For the condition of Seacrest, the always affable host gave The Hollywood Reporter an update soon after shooting wrapped on the first day. The Hollywood Reporter: You are back at The American Idol Show for that eleventhyear, could it be kind of like mowing the lawn? You simply dive in? Ryan Seacrest: Yes, it's like mowing the lawn but each year you're less than sure what make that bike will probably be. Will it be considered a Predator or perhaps a Mongoose? [Laughs] It had been a great day. It's like the very first day back in school, where I don't even remember exactly what the participants were singing because i was all gossiping with one another the entire time. We haven't seen one another inside a couple of days. It's fun. THR: Not to mention Jennifer's announcement came that very morning, was there ever a period when you thought she may not go back to the show? Seacrest:Who knows, right? Not until they formally close the offer and tell you just how she's returning. I had been hopeful because we'd this type of great season this past year, I really like her to dying and i believe that they easily fit in superbly. We want her role on the program. And So I was very relieved to listen to that they signed on again. THR: As well as on this primary day's tape, has she been altering up her style whatsoever? Seacrest: She most likely felt a bit more comfortable, however i think Jennifer got past any kind of training wheels through the initial few days from the last audition tour. And So I would imagine it's a bit simpler the next time around... She appeared in excellent spirits. She'd shrimp plus some kind of meat on her behalf plate for supper. She used fuschia. Everybody is nice. We really sitting lower coupled with lunch and chuckled and spoken by what we'd done within the summer time also it appeared like we'd never place the show lower. THR: Idol expires for eight Emmys this season, as well as in its decade about the air, it's only won one, a technical award for direction in 2007. Could it be now or never? Seacrest: It appears to become. Whether it's going to take place, this is the entire year. We've been about the air for the time being 11 seasons. We'd a transition season this past year and i believe there is some doubt from people [regarding] an amount the show do, an amount it deliver, wouldso would the alterations modify the rankings. But fortunately, we'd our best seasons. We'd a brand new energy and new dimensions towards the show with Steven and Jennifer there is another mood, another temperature, tone and texture to this past year's The American Idol Show. And So I guess as we're going to get it done, this really is most likely the entire year. THR: Exactly what does an Emmy win mean for you? Seacrest: It's special and flattering to become nominated. We're grateful that people're considered each year, but you want to win it. It might be nice to possess one Emmy that states The American Idol Show at the base from it. You should us. THR: Apart from industry accolades, why do essential? Seacrest: It's an excellent story to inform, isn't it? It's an excellent memory. This run has already established a lot of and [an Emmy] is on of the very exclusive reminiscences that people can all share. And So I think we'd all enjoy having that relaxing in the home. "We are grateful that we are considered each year, but you want to win it. It might be nice to possess one Emmy that states 'American Idol' at the base from it. You should us." THR: Obviously, Idol isn't without its share of debate. Now it's Adam Levine's cover story in Out Magazine accusing the show of discouraging participants from being freely gay. Have you got any ideas about the matter? Seacrest:I haven't see clearly [yet], and so i haven't trained with thought really, however i don't believe there's any agenda or conspiracy about this tv program. I believe when you decide to go and also you speak with the participants about this, you'll hear exactly the same factor. It's additionally a live tv program and that i seem like I stand available online for and persuade folks to talk their mind and discuss the things they're feeling and also the feelings and also the ideas they have when they're at the time of the incredible ride. And So I would reckon that if people haven't spoken about this, it had been by choice previously. THR: On his Behind the background music, Adam Lambert said he didn't feel at ease putting that available as they was on the program. As well as in previous years, participants for example Clay Aiken as well as season 1 alums like Jim Verraros and RJ Helton were not "out" on the program. Would be that the character of playing towards the middle? Seacrest: This is a question to request them. However I would suppose it had been a calculation they provided for reasons uknown. However, I believe today on the planet that people reside in, being honest about what you are like a artist and feeling confident with it as being one is most likely the very best policy. THR: Here's your this past year under agreement for Idol. What exactly are you thinking beyond season 11? Seacrest: I haven't even gone lower that path of considering this being the final season. It's really strange to listen to it. Because I've been doing the work for such a long time, it's a part of my existence, it's engraved during my schedule and that i love doing the work. And So I aspire to continue doing it. THR:Idol aside, you've accomplished a lot. What's lefton your to-do list? Seacrest: I love a chance to be while watching audience and speak with them regularly, and that's why I remain on radio stations. I really like the automobile that The American Idol Show continues to be for music as well as personally. I love the organization that I have had the chance to construct, however, I'm thinking about building the business that's not only me while watching camera, me on television constantly. And So I believe that something that I'd do later on or certainly a significant part of my calculation, could be how do i augment that a part of my agenda and goals in addition to continue being about the air? When I think forward, I make choices together. THR: Because the producer of reality shows, whenever you learn about something similar to the suicide of Russell Remedy, husband to Taylor Remedy of Real Average women of Beverly Hillsides fame, will it provide you with pause? Seacrest: Yes. You need to do have a take a step back and consider it. Certainly a scenario like that's tragic. THR: Does an emergency like this signal a wake-up call to reality TV producers? If there is tighter mental testing? Seacrest: I don't know. When it comes to the mental analysis, for that competition shows they are doing a great deal of that when it comes to the backdrop checking. However it's one of individuals unfortunate situations. THR: Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, that you produce, wasn't qualified to have an Emmy this season... Seacrest: I had been wishing it would be qualified since it's a reveal that accomplished something important and that we all labored very difficult onto it -- our crew and Jamie in addition to all of the people involved with los angeles. It had been disappointing, however i reckon that's how a cookie crumbles. We still got one this past year that is nice. THR: The Emmys really are a workday for you personally, but who'll you bring and what's going to you put on? Seacrest: I'll put on Burberry and that i brings Julianne [Hough]. Company, I'm available working the start, red-colored carpet some of it. I Quickly literally finish the final break on E! and run to get involved with my chair. However it's fun and that i'm always glad to sit down lower, relax watching the show. And it might be nice just to walk away with one for Idol this season. Jesse Eisenberg May Be The Double

For Richard Ayoade's next film.... Given how solid IT Crowd co-star Richard Ayoade's first film turned out - Submarine, in case you were crazy enough not to see it - it's no surprise that he's attracting top name talent for his follow-up. And so it has proved to be, with Vulture reporting that Jesse Eisenberg will star in The Double. The casting hasn't been officially announced just yet, so we're going to let this one straddle the worlds of rumour and fact for now. But if it definitely pans out, it's great news. That said, Ayoade hasn't picked something easy for his second stab at filmmaking: he's adapting Fyodor Dostoyevsky's eponymous novella. Nor familiar with it? Not a shock, but the basic story finds a Russian government clerk whose life begins to fall apart when an identical man, right down to the details of his life and including his name, starts working in his office. Since this is an indie production, we doubt Ayoade will be splashing out on the technology David Fincher used to create the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network, but a double dose of Eisenberg being paranoid and twitchy sounds like it could work.

'WrestleMania' boosts WWE profits

The timing of "WrestleMania 27" helped WWE more than double its profits during the second quarter. The company reported $14.3 million in net income vs. $6.3 million in the year-earlier period, aided by a 33% boost in revenue to $142.6 million during the three months that ended June 30. "WrestleMania 27," which took place April 3 in Atlanta, generated revenue of $35.9 million for the company on more than 1 million PPV buys -- a mark WWE had been eager to reach after years of declines. Last year's event, from Phoenix in March, counted 885,000 buys. Despite the "WrestleMania" success, PPV buy rates for other WWE events and live-attendance numbers were down during the rest of the quarter. But Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson's appearance at "WrestleMania 27" is credited with upping interest in the event, and he's already agreed to compete in the main match at "WrestleMania 28" in Miami next year. He is also set to appear in multiple PPV events leading up to the big show, including November's "Survivor Series." Company's film division, WWE Studios, earned $4.3 million revenue, up 61% gain over last year, driven by drama "That's What I Am," starring Ed Harris. Division took a $3.3 million writedown, however, from the pic's production and release. WWE has been hit just as hard by a dropoff in homevideo sales as the major studios, with homevid revenue down 35% during the quarter to $7.5 million. Disc shipments fell 11% on its titles, whose prices dropped to around $12.50, off 6%. To offset those declines, WWE has been offering more of its DVDs as digital titles. The digital side of its biz was up 15% to generate $6.2 million. WWE declined to disclose details about its new WWE Network other than to say that the launch of the TV channel would enable the company to monetize its vast library of event and other footage. A new lineup of videogames from THQ has also helped WWE's licensing biz, which was up 38% to collect $12 million during the quarter. Publishing revenue from its magazines was off 36% to $1.6 million with newsstands sales down. Contact Marc Graser at marc.graser@variety.com
